High school student in Pennsylvania dies in car accident

A two-vehicle car crash has tragically killed a local high school student, according to recent reports. Pennsylvania police responded to the car accident in Exeter Township late on the night of April 17. Several other individuals involved in the crash suffered minor to moderate injuries as well. So far, no charges have been filed. 

According to the accident report, a vehicle traveling westbound driven by a 19-year-old man failed to stop at a stop sign. His vehicle traveled into the intersection, where it was struck on the passenger side by a southbound vehicle being driven by a 23-year-old man. An 18-year-old woman in the back of the struck vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

It is unclear how many other passengers were involved in the crash, but both drivers and their passengers were injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment. Police are still trying to determine the specifics of the crash and have asked any witnesses in the community to come forward with pertinent information. So far, the driver who failed to stop at the stop sign has not been charged with a crime, nor has the driver who struck him. 

Pennsylvania police will continue to investigate this car accident until it is determined which driver bears the majority of the responsibility. Given that the crash resulted in a fatality, police will likely take this case very seriously. The responsible driver will also be susceptible to any personal injury or wrongful death lawsuits the other individuals and the family of the deceased woman may wish to file.
