Bus accidents already reported in 2019

Many Pennsylvania residents rely on public transportation to get back and forth each day. Sometimes, owning and maintaining a personal vehicle is not practical or affordable, and taking the bus is a good alternative. Many commuters enjoy riding the bus because they can sit back and relax while the bus driver gets them to their destination. Unfortunately, though, there is always a serious risk of bus accidents.

Recently, several passengers were injured when a Port Authority bus was involved in a crash. According to reports, the bus and three other vehicles became entangled in the wreck. The bus driver and at least three passengers were injured and required treatment at local hospitals.

According to early reports and photographs from the scene, the bus sustained damage to the front end and door. The impact must have been severe because passengers seated throughout the bus were hurt, and certainly, most were frightened. The incident remains under investigation.

When bus accidents cause an innocent Pennsylvania victim to suffer physical and emotional injury, the days and weeks that follow a crash can be tough. As a victim tries to heal from the frightening, painful ordeal, he or she may get hit with medical bills, inability to earn wages due to injury, and other serious matters. In many cases, an experienced attorney can assist a victim as he or she attempts to seek justice in court against the driver who caused him or her to suffer. An attorney can help a client explain how he or she has suffered through no fault of his or her own, and make arrangements to collect any damages or compensation to which a victim may be entitled by law.
