Auto accident leads to 2 teen deaths, 1 teen injury

Two high schoolers’ lives were recently cut short in a Pennsylvania motor vehicle wreck. Meanwhile, a third teenager suffered injuries in the auto accident. The tragic accident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. on a Tuesday.

According to police, a teenager was driving a car and suddenly lost control of it while heading south on a road. The truck then hit a tree and was cut in half. It landed in a meadow about one mile from the teens’ school.

Police said the car’s driver’s side remained intact but was mangled. Meanwhile, the car’s passenger’s side ended up looking like a large metal heap. The driver survived but was trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed before being taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, two passengers — both 18 years old — died in the collision.

The surviving family members of the two teenagers who died in the Pennsylvania motor vehicle crash may decide to file wrongful death claims against the teen driver, seeking the reimbursement of damages. Competent proof of negligence — such as speeding or driving while distracted — is necessary to establish the teen driver’s liability, or financial responsibility, before the civil court. Once liability is established, claims for monetary damages will be decided.
