Car accident in Pennsylvania injures 5

A serious crash on May 28 left five people in the hospital, according to local police reports. The car accident took place on Pennsylvania Parkway 202 in the afternoon. Five people were seriously injured, and a police investigation into the car accident is ongoing.

Details surrounding the accident are incomplete as of this writing, but it is currently known that a van driven by a 57-year-old Pennsylvania resident collided head-on with a car driven by a 66-year-old local. It is unknown what caused the collision to occur. Police have asked anyone with information to come forward.

The four occupants of the car and the driver of the van were all injured in the accident, though thankfully no one was killed. Most of the injured parties were airlifted by medical helicopter to local medical facilities, while the rest were taken by ground transportation. As of May 29, all injured parties were listed as being in stable condition at their respective hospitals. Police have released no further information regarding the crash.

It is sometimes difficult to assign blame in the case of a car accident. It is unclear whether either of the drivers was responsible for breaking Pennsylvania traffic laws and causing this crash, but an investigation may reveal more information. Regardless, the injured parties will be entitled to seek financial compensation from whichever driver is deemed to have been at fault. A personal injury suit filed through a Pennsylvania court may go a long ways toward achieving a measure of financial recompense for medical and other expenses.
