Franklin County car accident on Interstate 81 kills 1, injures 2

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on a recent Saturday evening. This single-vehicle car accident happened in Franklin County on Interstate 81. Investigators have determined that a southbound vehicle veered across the right lane and rolled several times after going off the right shoulder and striking a ditch.

The car had three occupants. One was ejected as the vehicle rolled over. This man succumbed to his injuries at the crash scene. The other two people suffered injuries of unknown severity.

Authorities reported that both were transported to medical facilities. One person was taken to the York Hospital and the other to a medical center in Hagerstown.
