The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on a recent Saturday evening. This single-vehicle car accident happened in Franklin County on Interstate 81. Investigators have determined that a southbound vehicle veered across the right lane and rolled several times after going off the right shoulder and striking a ditch.
The car had three occupants. One was ejected as the vehicle rolled over. This man succumbed to his injuries at the crash scene. The other two people suffered injuries of unknown severity.
Authorities reported that both were transported to medical facilities. One person was taken to the York Hospital and the other to a medical center in Hagerstown. Whenever anyone is injured or killed in a Pennsylvania car accident that happened as the result of another party’s negligence, financial relief could be pursued through the civil justice system. Typically, if the driver survives a single-car crash, any injured passengers, or the surviving family members of a deceased passenger, might have grounds to seek recovery of damages from the driver and any separate owner of the vehicle involved. If the driver believed responsible dies in the crash, his or her estate could be sued by the injured parties. Experienced personal injury counsel can assess the viability of any claims, and provide the necessary support and guidance throughout ensuing legal proceedings.
