Man charged re fatal car accident
A passenger in a motor vehicle depends on the driver to be vigilant and provide safe transportation. When a driver chooses to break the law, he or she risks the lives of any passengers, as well as others in or near the roadway. Sometimes, a driver’s negligent or criminal behavior causes a car accident that results in serious injury or death.
Recently, police filed charges against a Pennsylvania man after at least one passenger in his vehicle was killed in an accident. Law enforcement arrived at a local business where a vehicle was laying on its side. A female passenger was partially thrown out of the car and killed. Police now suspect there may have been an additional passenger, but have given no further details as they continue to investigate.
The driver deemed responsible for the death was charged with several crimes, including accidents involving injury or death while not properly licensed, and driving on a revoked or suspended license. The driver is currently in jail awaiting his court date. Due to the severity of the charges, his bail was set at $1 million, which he was unable to post.
When a car accident causes serious injury or death due to the negligence of a driver, Pennsylvania victims and their families may wonder how to seek justice. An experienced attorney can assist with personal injury or wrongful death claims, as applicable. For many victims and their loved ones, the road to recovery may be long and frustrating, and in many situations it can be made easier by allowing a knowledgeable attorney to represent their interests.
