Pennsylvania car accident leaves biker injured

When a collision takes place between a motorcycle rider and an enclosed vehicle, there can be little doubt as to which party will emerge the worse for wear. Motorcycle enthusiasts across Pennsylvania find riding to be an exhilarating way to travel, and many prefer this mode of transport over any other. There are inherent risks associated with motorcycle travel, however, and one recent car accident serves as a sobering reminder of how quickly a great ride can turn into tragedy.

The incident took place in Worcester, Pennsylvania on a recent Sunday evening. A 44-year-old man was riding his 2008 Suzuki southbound on Bustard Road when he encountered another vehicle. The driver of an enclosed vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Bustard, directly into the path of the rider.

The man was unable to slow or maneuver sufficiently to avoid a collision. He fell from his bike, striking the side panel of the vehicle. Although wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the rider sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.

The car accident remains under investigation, and no Pennsylvania criminal charges have been filed as of yet. There is no update on the condition of the injured motorcyclist, nor of his prognosis for recovery. As he continues to deal with the aftermath of this car crash, he will likely incur a wide range of expenses. Medical treatment, physical therapy, time lost from work and property damage are but a few of the repercussions that follow a car crash. Should he decide to move forward with a personal injury suit against the driver, he stands to recover some of the financial losses associated with this incident.
