Rollover car accident injures at least two in Pennsylvania
Rollover crashes can occur for a number of reasons. In some cases, it may be a driver’s fault for speeding, trying to take a sharp corner too quickly or consuming alcohol before getting behind the wheel. To further complicate matters, some vehicles are more prone to rolling over, such as SUVs, due to their high centers of gravity. Regardless, a rollover car accident can occur at any time for any reason. This was evidenced recently in a crash in Pennsylvania.
Recently, a vehicle was involved in an afternoon rollover crash in Allen Township. The dispatcher in the facility that sent the ambulances to the scene of the rollover accident says that it appeared as if only one vehicle was involved in the crash. Personnel speaking on the emergency radio reported that people were trapped inside the vehicle.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they reportedly found an 18-year-old woman conscious inside of the vehicle. In total, two people were taken to a local hospital for medical examination and treatment. Others may have been in the vehicle as well, but there is no confirmation of this as of yet.
As of the time of the report, authorities were uncertain as to what caused the vehicle to rollover. Regardless of the reason, when an injury or death occurs as a result of a rollover car accident in Pennsylvania, the victim or the victim’s family may be able to seek compensation for medical expenses, long-term care and even lost wages. If driver negligence contributed to the accident and can be proved, compensation may be awarded by a civil court.
