1 child dead, 4 people injured after car accident in Pennsylvania

A tragic accident has left a 4-year-old child dead and four other people seriously hurt according to local sources. Pennsylvania police say the three-car accident is still under investigation, and no charges have yet been filed in connection with the case. It is unclear whether speed and alcohol are being considered factors in the crash.

According to accident reports, a 23-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle while rounding a curve on U.S. Route 6 in the late afternoon. After losing control, she entered the opposing lane and struck two other vehicles. All three vehicles were disabled in the crash, according to police and fire departments.

The driver, two of her passengers and the driver of a second vehicle were all transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries, which have not been identified publicly. The 4-year-old child was also taken to the hospital, but eventually succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the third vehicle was uninjured in the accident.

This tragic incident that caused the death of an innocent child is likely shocking and upsetting for the residents of Pennsylvania. While the car accident is still under investigation by local law enforcement, it seems possible the driver of the first vehicle may be found responsible for the crash.
