3-car auto accident kills 1 passenger, injures several others
Possibly the worst aspect of an accident is how suddenly it can change or even end a life. No matter how attentive one is to driving, the actions of another party can lead to a serious auto accident. A three-vehicle crash in Pennsylvania recently killed a passenger and sent others to a local hospital.
The wreck occurred as a man driving his vehicle along a local street purportedly lost control of his automobile and ran into the rear of a sports car traveling ahead of him. After colliding with the second car, the first one continued along its path and smashed into the front of a third vehicle. A woman who was a passenger in that car was killed in the collision.
The driver of the third car was flown to a local medical facility with serious injuries. The driver of the first car — and a minor who was traveling with him — were both transported with what were described as minor injuries. The occupants in the second car were also taken for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Pennsylvania officials have not completed their investigation, and it is unclear whether the driver of the first vehicle will face any criminal charges as a result of this fatal auto accident. The surviving family of the woman who was killed are understandably devastated by the loss of their loved one. They may choose to gather information concerning the filing of a wrongful death suit against the party responsible for their tragic loss. Likewise, the surviving victim may also file a personal injury claim. Nothing can replace a life nor restore physical health, but successful civil trials can result in just compensation that alleviates the financial burdens on these families caused by the resulting monetary losses.
