Family walk takes tragic turn after serious car accident

Recently, one calm summer afternoon was the setting for a family of seven who decided to enjoy the day by taking a walk. However, that walk quickly turned into a nightmare after the entire Pennsylvania family was injured in a terrible car accident. While the cause of the wreck is still unknown, the lives of the entire family may be forever changed.

According to witnesses, the family was walking along a road located inside of their housing development. For reasons that are unclear, a woman, who was described as being in her 50s, swerved her vehicle and ran into the family members. The collision occurred directly in front of a residence owned by an emergency physician. This individual responded to the scene and started assessing the condition of the victims. She determined that the youngest, an infant, was the most critically injured and required immediate life-saving treatment.

All of the victims — two adults and five children — required transportation to area hospitals. By that evening, two of the children were purportedly released from care. The other family members were apparently still hospitalized with one adult and two children classified as being in critical condition.

Pennsylvania officials stated that the driver was taken to their headquarters shortly after the car accident and that she was working with them during their investigation. Life for this family may never be the same. Provided all of the members survive this accident, it may require months if not years for them to recover both physically and psychologically from this horrific wreck. Along with the physical and emotional harm that they will endure, the parents will likely sustain enormous monetary damages due to the ongoing medical costs and lost wages. They may attempt to seek relief from their financial losses through the filing of personal injury claims against the party or parties responsible for this devastating crash.
