Out-of-state men killed in car accident in Pennsylvania

A two-car crash on the morning of July 17 has left an out-of-state man dead, according to local authorities. Pennsylvania rescue workers responded to the car accident that killed the visitor, a 30-year-old man, and injured another out-of-state man. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident but have not filed any charges at this time.

According to the accident report, the 30-year-old man was traveling along State Route 6 when, for reasons unknown, he suddenly appeared to lose control of his vehicle. His car crossed into the oncoming lane, where it struck another vehicle, driven by a 36-year-old man, head-on. The force of the impact caused serious damage to both vehicles.

The 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by arriving medical authorities. The 36-year-old man suffered injuries described as moderate, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His current status is unknown as of this writing. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, and have yet to speculate whether recklessness or intoxication played a role in the accident.

Until more information is gathered about the cause of the car accident, no criminal charges will be filed. If it becomes clear the deceased driver was in some way responsible for his vehicle crossing into oncoming traffic, that driver may be considered at fault for the crash. Since that individual passed away, no criminal charges would be pursued. Nevertheless, the injured driver may choose to file a personal injury suit against the man’s estate. Such a suit would be overseen in a Pennsylvania civil court setting.
