Motorcycle Ride Turns to Tragedy in Bucks County
Over the weekend, a couple’s motorcycle ride turned to tragedy in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, when a drunk driver collided with a motorcycle occupied by Carl “C.J.” Polichetti III, and his wife. C.J. was fatally killed and his wife was last reported as having suffered life-threatening injuries.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the drunk driver, Dennis Bennett, emanated an odor of alcohol. He was also observed to be stumbling and slurring his words. Bennett was reportedly arraigned on Sunday for driving at twice the legal limit.
When potential clients contact us regarding a motor vehicle or motorcycle accident involving alcohol, we take our responsibility very seriously. We determine all potential responsible parties. It is important to determine whether the drunk driver was served alcohol at a bar, tavern, or restaurant before the accident happened. If so, the bar or tavern may be held jointly responsible with the drunk driver for the losses sustained by the victim and the victim’s family, particularly when there is evidence that the drunk driver was served by a bartender or waitress when he was visibly intoxicated.
