Fatal accident in Pennsylvania kills 2

Two people are dead after a car accident in Lancaster County on July 14. The fatal accident has claimed the lives of two Pennsylvania residents. Police are still investigating the details of this tragic incident.

According to local sources, Pennsylvania police responded to the accident in the early morning. Officers on the scene said the vehicle, driven by a 70-year-old man, had left the road and struck a utility pole. The driver was killed in the crash, and his passenger, a 66-year-old woman, was injured and taken to hospital by arriving medical personnel. Police have not speculated whether alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.

Police discovered shortly thereafter that a third victim had been involved in the accident. A 66-year-old female pedestrian had also apparently been injured in the crash and was promptly taken to hospital by medical personnel as well. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. Police have not named any of the victims at this point, and the status of the injured woman is unknown at this time.

This fatal accident remains the focus of attention by Pennsylvania police, as it is not yet clear why the accident happened. The driver deemed responsible for the crash is deceased, however, which means that any personal injury or wrongful death law suits filed against him must be handled by his estate instead. Any separate owner of the vehicle he was operating would typically be named as a defendant as well. The injured passenger and the family of the deceased pedestrian may wish to consider filing such suits in a Pennsylvania civil court as a means of seeking recovery of financial damages sustained due to the tragedy.
