SUV accident leads to a Pennsylvania Christmas Day disaster
Pennsylvania roadways are busy. Seemingly never-ending road construction and other drivers can make arriving at one’s destination on time a challenge. Drivers who drive distracted or recklessly can cause an SUV accident that can leave the unsuspecting seriously injured or worse.
Three people were injured in an accident in Pennsylvania on Christmas Day. Reports indicate that when authorities arrived on the scene of the incident, one vehicle was on its side, trapping the passengers. Another vehicle was on its roof.
After reviewing camera footage from the local area and interviewing witnesses, police concluded that an SUV had run a red light, which caused the three-car accident. Three people were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Neither the severity of injuries nor the identities of those involved was reported. Authorities say they will be filing citations for the driver of the SUV that ran the red light.
Running a red light due to negligence or distraction can have devastating consequences for those involved; both the victims and the suspected driver at fault. When negligence or recklessness is found to be the culprit in a Pennsylvania SUV accident and someone is hurt or killed, the victim, or the victim’s family in the event of a fatality, has the option to seek compensation for damages in a civil court. An attorney well-versed in personal injury or wrongful death can help a victim, or a surviving family, understand the options available for legal recourse and seek appropriate legal recourse through the civil justice system.
