2-car accident in Pennsylvania results in 1 fatality

An elderly man has tragically lost his life following a two-car crash in Allentown on the afternoon of April 27, local sources are reporting. Pennsylvania authorities are still trying to piece together the details of what happened to cause the car accident that claimed the life of an 84-year-old man. So far, no criminal charges have been filed in association with this tragic event.

Reports are sketchy as of this writing, but it appears the accident happened at the intersection of 15th and Pennsylvania Streets around 6:50 a.m. on the morning in question. The number of vehicles involved in the crash is unclear, nor is it known exactly how the accident was precipitated. However, first responders rushed one of the drivers, an 84-year-old man, to a local hospital, where he later died.

The man is said to have died from blunt-force injuries sustained in the accident. It is unknown whether police are considering alcohol or speed as factors in this accident, but they have not arrested any other driver in association with the crash. No further details were available at the time of this writing.

Pennsylvania police have their work cut out for them in determining exactly how this car accident happened. More information will be required before they can piece which driver, if any, may face charges for criminal responsibility for the ensuing fatality. Regardless, the family of the deceased victim may opt to file a wrongful death claim against any party deemed to have acted negligently so as to cause or contribute to the crash.
